Service Description
S.T.A.R. stands for Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsibility! S.T.A.R. puppy classes break down into these four categories and will be applied over 6 weeks, with classes being held once a week. Socialization skills include playing nicely with other puppies, being calm around other people and dogs, and proper exposure to new environments and experiences. Trainable cues to learn will include responding to name, and responding to sit, down, and come. Training will also be generalized for accepting grooming, handling for vet prep, and staying calm around distractions. At the end of the 6 weeks, a 20-item test will be conducted on puppy and owner. When test is passed, the puppy will receive a graduation diploma and ribbon. The perfect first step for building confidence in our new family members and the perfect first step towards Canine Good Citizen.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation: In the event of a cancellation within 24 hours of the class, a $50 fee will be applied. If the class is rescheduled before 24 hours of cancellation there will be no fee. If a class is rescheduled on more than two occasions, a rescheduling fee will be applied for $30. Deposit: A deposit will be required to schedule the first class. The deposit is nonrefundable; it will be forfeited in the event that the customer cancels within 24 hours and choses not to reschedule. Vaccinations: The dog in training must be up to date with required vaccinations and the customer will provide the records upon request.
