"Leave It"
The "Leave It" cue is detrimental to success in dog training. Leave It is considered basic obedience, although it is not a well known cue. This cue can solve problem before they have a chance to begin. It teaches your dog that there are things they are not aloud to have, and that they need to walk away from those things.
"Stay"
Teaching your dog patience is vital to a well behaved dog. Teaching your dog stay, can save you from having a run away or can quickly calm an anxious dog. Stay is a versatile cue that can be quickly taught when approached simply. Here I am teaching Bird to stay back from the door while greeting a guest.
